#reverbbroads11 – It’s a fine line between love and hate…

Instead of a list of your favorite things, write a list of your least favorite things, e.g. Worst book you ever finished, the color you hate, bad songs, bad romances, bad recipes.

There are many things I’m not fond of, dislike, etc. But I choose to reserve the word “hate” for the things in this world that really make my blood boil. Despite my slightly overactive temper, there’s very little that generates pure disgust in me, beyond acts of abuse, racism, discrimination, and similar worldly/societal nasties. Regardless, I will list those that come to mind.

  • Brussel sprouts – Doesn’t matter how you prepare them, yuck gag yuck!
  • Walmart – Inevitably I have to drag my ass into a Walmart at least twice a year.  There’s no business I loathe more.  It’s like shopping in a toilet…
  • Being stood up –   There’s never an acceptable excuse for this, short of an emergency, and I honestly have yet to be stood up because of one.  And what’s worse, if you mention your annoyance, you’re often quickly labeled as “psycho” and told to relax.  Really people, grow the hell up already…
  • Being expected to justify myself – I believe the things I do for many different reasons, but that does not mean I have to justify my views to anyone else if I don’t feel like it.  It doesn’t belittle my opinions or views because I choose not to try to convince you to see things my way.   So stop acting like I don’t know what I’m talking about just because I’m not adhering to your curiosity or your desire to make a debate out of it.
  • My sister’s 2nd husband – This is the one person on the planet that I hate.  He’s an unethical, immoral bastard that deserves the worst the world could give him.  I’ll never forgive him for how he treated my sister.  And I hope beyond hope that those he meets know instinctively to run away screaming before he finds a way to take advantage of them.  If I could tattoo a permanent marquee to his forehead that tells everyone exactly what he is and get away with it, I would.
  • Being micromanaged – I’m not a mindless idiot, don’t treat me like one, especially when it’s obvious that I know more about this task/job than you do…
  • Thinking about things I hate – For the most part, I’d rather not think about the things I hate.  So this is probably the last time you will ever see me blog about hating anything.   I’m a lover, not a hater.  Peace and love, man! 😉
