Well, I’m slowly healing. Still unable to get out of a lying position without pain, but I’m getting some mobility back. The place I got Tanner from charged me $63 to come pick him up. I thought that was purty tactless considering I got hurt on what was supposed to be a “well-broke, fully-evaluated” horse :/ I realize horses are unpredictable creatures, but I made it absolutely clear that I’m a beginner/intermediate rider that needs an easy-going lesson horse and I had the guidance of an experienced instructor so it’s not like just started in with no concept of what I’m doing. A horse that rears back when handling or goes full out bucking bronco when I get on is NOT the behavior of a well-broke horse. I’m rather disappointed with this place, and hope other beginners don’t make the mistake of purchasing a horse from there. Lucky for me I got most my money back (minus the $63 they charged me), but then I’m also most unlucky that I’ll probably never be able to ride again…
